WILD RICE AKA THE REAL BLACK RICE not mimicked or colored black then called black rice, this is the original rice.
WHAT DOES IT TASTE LIKE? Wild Rice is a rich & hearty grain with a firm texture and rich nutty flavor adds a rustic touch and whole grain goodness to your favorite recipes, including soups, side dishes, and even desserts.
STOVETOP COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a medium saucepan bring 2 1/4 cup of water to a boil. Stir in 8 oz of wild rice.
- Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a fast simmer, and cook for 45-50 minutes.
- Remove from heat (keep covered) and steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
RICE COOKER INSTRUCTIONS:
- use the same liquid to rice ratio. If the rice is too firm at the end of cooking, it may be necessary to add 1-2 Tbsp. liquid and cook longer.
